Open Bring your code and paste complete before and after versions of a file. Use One version to map current source. Use Multiple files for a JSON bundle or to reopen a saved story. The standalone editor parses locally in your browser.
Using the plugin
In a compatible assistant with Turnpoint installed, ask: “Use Turnpoint to draw this code change and explain the affected path in simple terms.” The assistant supplies relevant source to analyze_code and opens the result with show_code_story. The interactive flowchart appears in the conversation; the host's native diff remains available.
What is supported
JavaScript, TypeScript, JSX and TSX, including .mjs, .cjs, .mts and .cts. Up to 12 files, 160,000 total source characters and 100 blocks per version. Relative imports are followed only inside the supplied files. No sign-in, API key or payment is required.
Why an arrow might be missing
This is a static source map, not an execution trace. Dynamic function selection, framework routing, packages outside your input and some complex language patterns cannot be resolved. Such calls are listed under Beyond this map. Provide the missing source if you want more context.
Before and after
Blocks match by relative file path and qualified symbol name. A rename can appear as a removal and an addition. Whitespace-only edits remain unchanged. Source comments are shown as comments, not verified behavioral claims.
